Port Susan in Bloom – Print

Port Susan in Bloom-  This paper painted collage is inspired by the marriage of land and water that surrounds my home.  I love to hike and my favorite local hiking spot is Barnum Point at Port Susan Bay. In early spring you will find Barnum overflowing with wild roses (Nootka Rose).  I’m a land lover, but my husband, Lucas takes me sailing as often as possible. While I’m a bit out of my comfort zone, I always enjoy the sights and sounds of the bay- including the North Cascades, the sound of the wind and water, and the beauty that surrounds us.  Here, I’ve married the two. This piece (from left to right) features Whitehorse, Mt. Bullon, Jumbo Mountain, Three Fingers, Big Bear, Helena Peak, Liberty Peak, Long Mountain, and Mt. Pilchuck (all of the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest).
